John challenges us to revisit an earlier theme: Autumn. I wasn’t around for the earlier challenge, but I am happy to respond to this one. Autumn in America is a glorious time. The foliage is spectacular, as depicted in the above image in Maine. (More on that image in a moment.)
Below, on the left, is a country pond in the early stages of autumn. On the right, the same pond, later in autumn, and from a different vantage point.
Here’s a closeup look at the leaves that make Fall foliage so glorious.
Here is a Maine lake in Autumn. (I’ve used this image in previous posts.)
Finally, an image evoking a day out among the fields and trees of Autumn.
Now about that feature image… Sharp eyes will note that the same image appears as the feature image in two posts on the same day! It’s Variation 2 in this month’s One Four series. Consider this a plug for the One Four! In the One Four challenge, we select a new photo each month, and then proceed to explore four different edits or views on successive Thursdays (Wednesdays in North America and Europe.) It’s a great exercise, a fun way to learn new things and develop creative ideas. Leanne Cole and I are the initiators for this incarnation of the One Four Challenge, originally developed by Robyn G. I know that Leanne would like more people to follow her edits and so would I. So please go check out mine, which began this month here, and hers, which began this month here. Thanks.
And thanks to John for this week’s Lens-Artists Challenge.
