This is the second week of the current One Four Challenge series. Before going further, let’s review: In the One Four Challenge, we select a single image, then proceed to explore four different edits on successive weeks. Everybody is welcome! So I started with an image of a wooden fence in front of varied wildflowers. The image with the fence is a nice one on its own and has been posted before. However, for the first variation, I removed the fence and made slight modifications to the tonalities. These were the results.
Here (and above) is the new image, Variation 2.
What I’m after here is a progressively more abstract image, featuring a soft pastel look. The plants are still there, almost recognizable as wildflowers. But now the wildflowers are providing a base on which to develop the new softer image. It will be interesting to see where this goes next week.
Here is a side by side comparison of the two variations. Variation 2 is based on variation 1, and I hope you can see the progression toward the more abstract.
So that’s week 2. I would love to hear what you think of it, and where you think this should go next. Have a good week.
