New Images #36: Flowers and Layers

New Images #36: Flowers and Layers

For this week’s New Images, I’ve selected three previously posted flowers. I wanted to make the flower petals look more “paperlike” and give the image overall a more artistic appearance. Ater some experimentation, I found a couple pictures of Camelias that worked well. The third image is a different flower with which I had previously done a series of multiple exposures. (When I asked PlantNet to identify the flower, the program replied, “Not a plant.”) Anyway, the third image worked well. All three of these images were processed with overlays. and layers. There’s no AI other than what’s baked into Luminar Neo for adjusting lighting, exposure and contrast. All three image are clickable to see larger views.

(The original shot of the first image was in the Descanso Gardens in Pasadena. The second flower was shot in the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria in Melbourne. The third was shot indoors with artificial lighting.) Watch next week for another New Images post, midweek (Wednesday or Thursday).
