Posting has been sparse lately because I’m mostly occupied with a new project. For this week’s New Images, I have just a single image, “Autumn Leaves.”
The image began as a normal photograph from the camera. After several (non-AI) methods to change the background or add an overlay, I let the Generative AI (Gemini 3.1) take over. The faded yellow leaves were my specification.
An interesting observation: Note that the AI was able to get the new background into all the little nooks and crannies, and all the tiny spaces left by the leaves. I could not achieve this with any manner of masking, adding overlays, or otherwise changing the background with non-AI means. Moreover, with a suitable prompt, this was achieved in one step.
Watch next midweek for another installment of New Images, Wednesday/Thursday.
