Just one image this week in the New Images series. This was done entirely by an AI. But rather than simply give the AI an instruction, however detailed, and then letting the AI go at it, it was done in steps, each time adding or modifying a part of the image. For instance, ‘Make the moon a little larger.’ Or, ‘Bring the barn and silos a little closer.’ Or, ‘Add a large male deer.’ There were over a dozen steps, each time responding to my added instruction more or less precisely. The image, as it evolved, was thus very much the product of my imagination. This, I think, must be similar to an artist painting on canvas, except instead of a brush and oils, the rendering tool is the AI. so it seems to me to be an example of digital painting.
Here is the final image again.
That’s it. Watch next week for another installment of New Images, posted on Wednesday or Thursday.
