Monday Monochrome – Mojave Dessert

Monday Monochrome – Mojave Dessert

This week’s Monday Monochrome is this image of the Mojave Desert in southeastern California. Along with the Sonoran, Chihuahuan, and Great Basin deserts, the Mojave forms a vast desert system in southwestern North America. The Mojave is considered “high desert” because the elevations are over 2,000 ft and up to 4,000 ft. I have found the high desert to be a unique and deeply spiritual place.

  1. There is indeed something special and rather mystical about deserts. I love the drama of this shot!
