Lens Artists Challenge #349 – The First Thing I Thought Of …

Our challenge this week comes from Tina, who encourages us to find the humor in some of our pictures. Well, I’ve been accused of being too serious, so this should be a good exercise for me, right? It has been interesting to look at some pictures differently and see the humor in them. Here goes …

Oh, what big eyes you have!!

[It’s a pair of ceramic (Raku) cups on Raku tray.]

Oh oh! Where am I? Did I take something?

[Installation at InSitu Gardens, Redding CT.]

I think I’ve mislaid my glasses!

“How long has she been waiting?” “Quite a while, I think.” “Hmm, she doesn’t look happy.” “Whoever she’s waiting for is going to be in trouble!”

[Henry Moore sculpture “Family” at Museum of Modern Art, NYC.]

“Arrrh! Walk the plank, matey!”

[Aother installation at InSitu Gardens, Redding CT.]

“Hurry up and take the picture! My feet are getting cold!”

[Egret at Bruce Park, Greenwich CT.]

Funniest looking soccer ball I’ve ever seen!

[Thing at InSitu Gardens, Redding, CT.]

And there they are, my contributions to this week’s theme. I hope my humor is not too subtle. Thanks to Tina for this week’s challenge. It was fun. Next week, Anne will give us a challenge. Everyone, have a good week!

  6. These are great fun! I especially like the photo of the woman with the Henry Moore sculpture. I often ‘stalk’ people at exhibitions as I think including them makes photos much more interesting than straightforward shots of the art alone, and your photo definitely proves that 🙂
