Ritva has this week’s challenge – Portraits – and it’s truly a challenge for me, since I don’t normally do portraits; in fact I usually avoid people pictures. I’ll try to respond with a few images. (Above feature image AI generated.)
Opening with one of the (very) rare portraits I’ve done. This was a commission.
This was an iPhone selfie, with a friend. On the Santa Monica Pier, Los Angeles, California.
A quartet of my visiting Aussie friends on an excursion in Central Park, New York City.
Two more friends. Along Highway 1, through the Big Sur, in coastal California.
This was Sally sitting for a portrait. Sally, unfortunately no longer with us, was the light of our lives. She was a dingo mix, she was the friendliest, smartest, warmest dog anyone could have as a pet. Her picture has pride of place in our home.
A side view of “Seated Woman” a sculpture by Henry Moore. It’s at the Getty Center, Brentwood, Los Angeles, California
Thanks to Ritva for this week’s challenge. The great thing – or two great things – about the Lens-Artist Challenges are that they force you to go beyond your comfort zone; and they force you to dig through your archives for images possibly forgotten but great all the same.
