At the onset of March and eager for Spring, here is a highly varied selection of green images that celebrate the vitality and beauty of nature. I hope you enjoy.
Green Moss in Winter. Found on a winter woods walk. The moss was “puffy” with a three-dimensional quality which I’ve tried to capture in the photograph. It did take some post-editing. I like that even in the middle of winter, this green moss scene vividly shows life.
Spring Trees. The image was edited lightly with some of the techniques I’ve used for the Visions of Nature series. The trees are in their spring/summer flowering.
Spring Ferns. The image captures the fine, almost mystical, lace-like quality of the young ferns. I could lie down amidst these ferns and dream of an endless spring.
Wood Fence and Wildflowers. The image takes us on to summer. The wooden fence, itself with a lot of character, is gradually being overtaken by the weeds and wildflowers of summer.
Summer Garden. I love the many hues of green in the garden scene which combines both shade and bright sun. Nature is truly brilliant.
