One Four Challenge Week 2 – Hammond Gardens

One Four Challenge Week 2 – Hammond Gardens

Welcome back. to the One Four Challenge, now Week 2. The new variation is above.

Before going further, I want to remind you that in the One Four Challenge, we select a single image and then do 4 different edits. You can find more information here. We would love to have more people join us!

I am trying with this series to do smaller, or more subtle edits, rather than big AI or Photoshop based changes. We didn’t always have Photoshop, and I want to remind myself what I can do without it.

Going back to the original image, I played around with tonalities, lighting, contrast etc in order to keep the foliage green but make it a little more realistic. Then I added a little fog. And some light rays to simulate the sun shining through the trees and the fog. I think overall this adds depth to the image.

Here is a gallery with the original and both variations.

And here is a side-by-side view with the original and the current variation.

Leave a comment and tell me what you think! Come back next week for another variation. And don’t forget to check out Leanne’s post.
