It has been a busy week. While New Images is usually posted on Wednesday or Thursday, I’m behind in my posting this week. Bear with me.
For this week’s New Images, we start with “Pins”, featured above and to the right. (Click on the image at right for full-screen view.) The image was created with Google’s Gemini and subsequently edited in Luminar Neo.

This is “Tree in Late Winter.” The bare tree was photographed in late winter. A variety of post-processing tools were used to modify the image. The editing brings out a vascular structure not, or nearly not, visible to the naked eye.

“Button Bush.” Buttonbush (Cephalanthus occidentalis) is species of flowering plant in the family Rubiaceae that is native to eastern and southern North America. The distinctive blooms are sometimes called “honey-balls.” Earlier cultures used the roots of button ball plants to treat abdominal issues; there are no medicinal uses of button bush today. Button bush plants can grow quite large. Butterflies are very much attracted to button bush and they love the nectar.
That’s it for this week. I’ll try to get back on schedule next week, when New Images is posted on Wednesday or Thursday.
