New Images #13: Flower Arrangements

This is the “New Images” post I had ready to go last week. Then, before posting, I suffered a sudden and unfortunate medical event that then put me out of commission for almost a week. Now, I’m going to take a break in posting for a while.

I’m a sucker for dramatic photographs of beautifully arranged flowers with hyperrealistic colors. For this week’s New Images, I have three captivating photographs showcasing colorful – and a little exotic – flower arrangements. These are images that have undergone extensive editing to enhance their visual appeal. Except for the limited AI features now baked into photo editing programs (I’m using Photoshop and Luminar Neo), there’s no AI involved in the actual creation of these photographs. Each was shot in the studio with controlled lighting conditions to achieve the desired effects. The full gamut of post-capture editing techniques was applied to each image, including adjustments for exposure and contrast, tonality and color balance, as well as selective sharpening and noise reduction. Additionally, backgrounds were creatively applied as overlays in Luminar Neo to further enrich the compositions.

  3. I love the first shot, the Ranunculus, in particular – it has the simplicity of a Japanese arrangement. I hope you recover quickly!
