This week’s Monday Monochrome is “Stand on 44th Street.” It’s New York City, of course. Such stands were ubiquitous in Midtown before Covid. During Covid, Manhattan business pretty much emptied out, and tourists disappeared. So there was no business for these colorful and entertaining vendors. Since Covid, business has slowly returned to NY. (This image was shot before Covid.) The original image is in color, but I though the monochrome version emphasized the patterns, especially in the scarves along the front.
